Art, fashion, and culture
The Look is an art, fashion, and culture magazine ran by students at San Diego State University. Being the first of its kind at the university, the magazine has worked hard to establish itself and grow within the San Diego community. I have had the fortune to be there since its start as a Graphic Designer and as Creative Director for the 5th and 6th issue. Working on spreads for print, blog covers, and other miscellaneous designs has been so fun and freeing. The work below is multiple projects done between 2021 and now.
ISSUE 06
For Issue 06 of the magazine I chose the theme Alien Superstar as a progression from our previous issue In a Daze which highlighted the struggle and blur of everything when it comes to being a young, creative individual in this busy world. Issue 6 was to highlight confidence, progression, beauty, and glamour. The Cover was done with the help of the photographer Julissa Martinez. I got to make the helmet too!

Issue 06 Digital promotion
For the magazine I wanted to stick to black/white for our name/logo so there was consistency in all our work. The logo was an inherited masterhead from our previous creative director so I wanted to have that aspect the same. The font was slightly altered to have a clean and consistent weight for every letter.
