Furnish & Co
Furnish & Co is an app created to ease the shopping experience. Mostly focused on home furniture, office spaces, and so much more. It was important to give more to the shopper and make the process to buy furniture easier. One of the main aspects of this app is the AR function. Letting users view any item being in their own home. We wanted users to feel comfortable and less anxious about buying furniture and focus on the more important things. The whole project was done as a collaboration from beginning to end in hopes to share each others opinions, critiques, and overall preferences in a application.
Using the typeface Poppins and Lato for our app, it was chosen to create a welcoming and clean impression as the furniture should stand out more than anything. With color we chose a more warm and dark tone. Blue and yellows were decided as they felt to be a good contrast when layered but the colors blend well with each other. The whole intention behind the app is again to be clean and welcoming which the type and color contributed to.

The initial layouts were made with the expectation to fully dive into the app. As we were working on our layouts we found a few changes we didn't expect and adjusted once we discussed what we did and didn't like for a user.

Reflection
Overall the process for the app was quite interesting and took a few months to work on. The main part of this project was the collaboration and working together to make a cohesive and effective app. While there is still room to grow, the process of the app was enjoyable and helped us to understand how we as designers can improve our process and what we need to be asking.
